Courses

Courses take place from Monday to Friday at our premises or online.

Check the timetable.

To find out your level, you need to take a placement test. This test is free and lasts about 1 hour. It is absolutely essential that you answer all the questions and take it alone, i.e. without outside help, without a dictionary and without an online translator. This is not an exam, but a tool to help you follow a course at the level that suits you best.

You can skip it:

  • on site between 9am and 11am (every day except Thursday)
  • online via a Google Forms link that you will receive by email once you have registered

Groups are made up of 8 to 15 students.

No, but the Alliance Française de Toulouse will issue you with a course completion certificate and a level certificate. You will automatically receive them by e-mail at the end of your stay.

Teachers use books and workbooks for intensive and evening courses from A1 to B2. They are not included in the course price. You can buy them at the Alliance Française de Toulouse office. They are in paper format, but each book contains a code giving you access to the PDF version.

Group breaks

The Alliance Française in Toulouse currently offers 3 types of stay for groups:

IMMERSION FRANCE
: a language holiday combining general French courses with cultural, tourist, gastronomic and sporting activities.

GENTLE FRANCE A cultural holiday based on discovering the region and meeting its inhabitants, with a range of combinable and flexible tours and cultural workshops.
CURRICULUM FRANCE A discovery of the student landscape - a forum of local colleges and universities, visits to Toulouse campuses - with courses in general French, French for University Purposes (FOU), French for Specific Purposes (FOS) and cultural activities.

We organise your group holidays from September to June.

The length of your stay is free, from a few days to a few weeks.

We welcome groups from age 16with accompanying adults from the home school.

To be considered as a group, with a specific programme (particularly for cultural and recreational activities), a minimum of 7 participants is recommended.
The maximum number depends on the nature of the request, particularly with regard to accommodation. (No more than 20 people, to be accommodated with a host family, for example).
Please note that the larger the number of participants, the longer the lead times.

There are 2 possibilities:
- or learners join our recurrent international groups on intensive courses (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 12.30pm, with a 15-minute break),
- or the group chooses to operate as a "constituted group".
For larger groups, a certain homogeneity in language levels and learning objectives is necessary. In this case, timetables are decided in consultation between the home establishment and the Alliance Française de Toulouse.

Depending on your choice and availability, you can be accommodated :
- in host families or
- in partner residences (Les Relais du Capitole, Citadines, Toulouse Social Hub).

Any dietary restrictions must be notified when the quote is drawn up and may be subject to an additional charge.
If you have any food or animal allergies, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can find the right family for you.

The premises of the Alliance Française de Toulouse are adapted for people with reduced mobility, but some cultural and recreational activities are not.
If you have reduced mobility, please let us know as soon as possible so that the Alliance Française de Toulouse can offer you an adapted programme.

It all depends on demand.
When it comes to hosting groups, it is the schools of origin that formulate their requirements and the Alliance Française de Toulouse responds with a quote.
