USE OF ACCOMMODATION

Maintenance of premises :
The student takes care to tidy his/her room and to keep the common areas free of clutter. They air their room daily.
The host is responsible for the regular upkeep of the room and sanitary facilities (cleaning the floor and surfaces, etc.), but the student must leave the bathroom and WC clean after each use. For example, they must remove their hair from the bath or shower tray and washbasin.
The student is informed of the weekly cleaning day.
No hygiene products are provided by the host (soap, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, etc.), but the host does provide cleaning products, a hairdryer and hand soap.
Each time the kitchen is used, the student washes, wipes and tidies the dishes, and cleans the sink, table and worktop.

Lingerie :
The host decides how to use the washing machine (which is not self-service) and provides the washing powder.
Linen is deposited in a dedicated dirty linen basket every week (personal linen, towels) and every fortnight for bed linen, just before washing.
All packages include laundry:
- personal laundry / once a week (= 1 machine)
- towel / 1 time per week
- bed linen / once a fortnight
If the student wishes to have more washes, he or she must come to an agreement with the host.
The student makes his/her own bed with his/her own bed linen if the stay exceeds 14 nights..

Keys :
A full set of keys is loaned to students on arrival. If the keys are lost, the lock may have to be replaced and a craftsman may have to be sent out (possibly at night rate). The student is considered to be financially responsible for replacing the keys and locks (note that this can cost up to €1,300 for a door). The set of keys received on arrival must be returned to the host. on the student's departure.
Do not leave the key on the front door and always lock the house or flat when you leave..

Miscellaneous :
Students may have access to the means of communication available (television, Internet and WIFI, etc.) after agreeing the terms of use with the host.
Students should be careful not to listen to music or films too loudly and should use headphones or earphones (at all times).
Students should be careful not to speak too loudly on the telephone, preferably not after 10 p.m., and to use discretion.

CARE FOR OUR PLANET
Students do not consume energy unnecessarily.
Electricity: when leaving a room or bedroom, the student switches off the light and turn down the heat.
Water The student don't let the water run unnecessarily.

PAYMENT OF COSTS

The student first pays a deposit of €50 to the Alliance Française to open the file and find accommodation (non-refundable).
Students then pay the accommodation costs: either directly to their host upon arrival, or to the Alliance Française de Toulouse when they enrol.
Accommodation costs must always be paid in advance.

PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE

Each student must provide a certificate of civil liability insurance or equivalent at the beginning of your stay.
If the student does not have one in his or her country of origin, he or she can contact an insurance company that is a partner of the Alliance Française de Toulouse (contact us).
Civil liability insurance is different from medical insurance: it covers any damage that the student may cause during their stay in the house (damage, breakages, loss of keys, etc.).

CHANGE OF HOST OR EARLY DEPARTURE OF THE STUDENT

If the student has a disagreement with his/her host, he/she should quickly discuss it with him/her and the Alliance Française de Toulouse accommodation department.
Misunderstandings and disagreements are often the result of misunderstandings, which is why you need to talk to your host to find an amicable solution.
However, in exceptional circumstances and if the accommodation service considers that the request is justified, the student will be able to change host at no extra cost. They will be offered other accommodation subject to availability.
In the event of early departure for personal reasons, no refund will be made (except in duly proven cases of force majeure).

On the day of departure, students must leave their rooms clean and tidy:

- ensure that shower and WC areas are kept clean
