The Alliance Française de Toulouse welcomed a group of students from Lima for a linguistic stay based on openness and sharing, a combination of educational requirements and cultural discovery.

Lisette Berrios, head of education for the Alliances Françaises of Lima, looks back at this immersive experience and the remarkable progress made by the participants throughout their stay.

“Accompanying the group from Lima to Toulouse was a deeply enriching and human experience. During these two weeks organised in partnership with the Alliance Française de Toulouse, I was delighted to see our students grow in confidence and open up fully to French culture.
From the moment they arrived, the students were given a warm welcome by their host families. This immersion enabled them to experience the language on a daily basis, in authentic situations, and to create sincere bonds.
The courses at the Alliance Française de Toulouse were perfectly adapted to the learners' levels thanks to the initial placement test. The teaching staff were extremely professional and always available, which helped to create a reassuring and stimulating atmosphere.
The rich and varied cultural programme was a real highlight, with visits to Toulouse, Albi, Rocamadour and Carcassonne, cookery workshops, cheese tastings and a discovery of the Halle de La Machine and Cité de l'Espace gave students a chance to discover France in a different way, beyond the classroom.
As the days went by, I noticed that they were becoming increasingly independent and were really enjoying communicating in French. Their curiosity, enthusiasm and involvement made this stay a success.
This trip will remain an unforgettable experience for each of them, both linguistically and personally. It was a real privilege to accompany them on this wonderful adventure.”
